Beard responds to recall allegations

Response to Recall Petitioner’s allegations

The sworn statements of Mary Williams, Silvia Queen, Odeal Griffin Holloway, Janice Marion Reed and John G. Richard, as listed in the affidavit dated June 14, 2010, are false.

They have not provided in this affidavit any proof of their allegations; there are no documented facts, no proof of wrongdoing or violations of law.

They have not provided any proof of having direct, personal knowledge of my violating the law or the City Charter which they allege.

These petition statements are only opinions. Without facts, without proof of violations or wrongdoing, they have no grounds for removal.

Allegation # 1-FALSE; I have not violated any article of the City Charter;

Allegation #2- FALSE: The only meetings I miss are in times of family or                      

Personal illness, death in the family or due to the demands of my job;                                      

Allegation #3 Disruptive conduct-FALSE: 

Allegation #4 Insulting, derogatory conduct-FALSE;

Allegation #5 Excessive spending-FALSE:

I intend to take legal action against Mary Williams, Silvia Queen, Odeal Griffin Holloway, Janice Marion Reed, John G. Richard and Ramona M. Ledet, notary public, for signing a false accusation under oath, and for slander and defamation. I reserve the right to take legal action against any and all parties who participate directly or indirectly in this attempt to damage my name, character and reputation.
