Why Use DistrictIssues.com?

DistrictIssues.com was created to combat the cynicism that surrounds politics, to fight the notion that one vote can’t make a difference. We want to bring politics out of the media and into your living room by giving you, the voters, direct access to the politicians that represent you at the local, state, and federal levels of government. Not only do we want you to be informed about the names you see on a ballot, we want to give you the mediums necessary to hold your politicians accountable for their actions while in office or on the campaign trail.

On DistrictIssues.com, each politician is given their own personal website to inform the voters of why they are the best choice for that particular office. This page is managed by the Rep. only, with no interference from our site, or any other. The Rep. is responsible for providing access to themselves though the numerous avenues of interaction that we offer.

No other site grants you the communication or the interactive features that DistrictIssues.com offers. On each ‘Rep.’ page you will find you have the opportunity to:

  • Take part in a poll.
  • View campaign commercials, speeches, video messages from the Rep.
  • Chat with fellow constituents, or the Rep.
  • View background information on the Rep.
  • See any and all upcoming events on the Reps’. interactive calendar.
  • Be a member of a “Virtual Town Hall” where the Rep. gathers fellow constituents online to discuss topics of the district.
  • Discuss all legislation and views put forward by the Rep.
  • Blog on endless lists of updates, views, and political agendas.

The next step in politics is here. DistrictIssues.com offers an incredibly unique resource for all to use in their efforts to have a voice in the political arena. There are no more excuses for pessimism. Through DistrictIssues.com, every voice has a chance to be heard, every person a right to deal directly with those they vote into office. It has been said that decisions are made by those that show up. Now is the time to BE HEARD.
